Week 4: Parmesan Crusted Potato Slices

I just came home from Manila.  And just before getting in the plane, I grabbed 2 burgers ala cart from Wendy's to bring home for my husband.  We don't have Wendy's yet in Bacolod and their Burger Bacon Mushroom Melt (BBMM) has been a favorite since our college days.

So to pair our burgers, I got the oven running and whip up this awesome recipe I got from  Parmesan Crusted Potato Slices.

What I love about this recipe is how it is easy and can be done in a matter of minutes. Not to mention, it is a healthier version of french fries which we normally pair with our burgers.

We could snack on it without that guilt.Yum!


6 medium sized potatoes
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
3 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cayenne powder

parsley to garnish

1.  Peal potatoes and cut into slices about 1/3-1/2 inch thick.
2.  In a bowl, mix all ingredients, except for the parsley with a spoon or your clean hands. Make sure everything is well coated.
3.  In a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or baking mat, arrange potatoes in a single layer with good spacing.

4.  Bake at 450 F for 25 to 30 minutes.  Pull out of the , and flip the potatoes.  Bake for another 10-15 minutes.
