Seoul Day 1: Spring at COEX Mall

After getting instructions of traveling to Seoul, and obtaining a loaded T-money from the Family Mart located at the bottom of our building, we braved our way to Seoul.  We loaded the bus to Gangnam Station.  Funny thing was we missed our stop and we realized it too late.  A foreigner recognizing our dilemma told us to ask the driver if we could get down even if there’s no bus stop. So Kat sought the driver and convinced him to let us off at Citizen’s Forest Station.  Good thing he did, if not, we would have returned to where we loaded. =p

From Citizen’s Forest Station we transferred to COEX mall via Krail (subway).  Their subway trains are as savy as it could gets.  It is very clean yet food and drinks are allowed.  They have seats for oldies, pregnant women and people traveling with children and they really vacated those seats for these people.  There are also wifi at each station! So even if my phone’s roaming is not working at Seoul, I got to communicate to people at home likewise our friends at Seoul through Facebook, Gchat and Skype.

We arrived at COEX Mall at around 11AM. So we decided to take an early lunch at the Mall’s Food court.

We decide to have something Korean, cheap and of course where there’s a lot of people.  We chose to order Kimchi Fried Rice (6500 won) from the resto below:

Kat got Chicken while I got Bacon.  It was served with sour radish and miso soup.

While eating, we took advantage of free wifi to update with family and friends.  I also had to chance to arrange a schedule with some friends to meet us up for dinner later in the night. =)

After lunch, we went out of COEX Mall to find Beogunsa Temple.  And we were greeted with a tons of flowers beautifully shaped and landscaped.  If not for the cold weather, I would have forgotten it was autumn.  It felt like it was spring!
