Lunch at Balinsasayaw Chicken Grill and Restaurant

I have heard a lot of raves on how food is really good in Palawan.  With the fresh catch everyday, it is no wonder that their seafood specialties are really cheap. No more additional travel expenses to get it to the pan.  And with the rural atmosphere the city is exuding you can't help but relax while eating your apetite's delight.

As recommended by the lady employee at the Underground Booking office, my family decided to take lunch at the Balinsasayaw Chicken Grill and Restaurant.

Balinsasayaw is named after the the Balinsasayaw bird which is native in Palawan.  The bird's saliva, used in making its nests, are the essential ingredient in making the Bird's Nest Soup.

We all took the set meal which includes a rice and a grilled specialty.  We chose Pork Spareribs, Tanigue, Tuna Belly.

The taste of their grill is somewhat sweet maybe becuase of the marinade. But I am at awe that they served a generous amount for just Php 79. Two thumbs up for the big serving.

Me and my brother ordered shakes to pair with our food.  I am not found of avocados but I love the creamy taste of their avocado shake.

As dessert, I got leche flan while mom and my brother shared a special halo halo.  There is nothing special with their halo halo.  It tasted bland for me.

For a very reasonable price and very tasteful treat, no wonder Balinsasayaw is one Restaurant locals recommend.  If you happen to go to Puerto Princesa, don't miss the chance to dine at Balinsasayaw. =)
